Mirror Lake is a recreation and information destination in the community of Camrose, Alberta in the Central Alberta Region of Canada. The lake is the centre piece of the community and part of the Stoney Creek Valley network of parks.
Surrounding Mirror Lake is the community of Camrose and a year round paved recreation trail. The lake is easily accessible from downtown and from the many community recreation trails.
The 3 kilometres of Mirror Lake loop trails connect to other greenspace destinations located on the shores of the lake like Grand Drive Park, Mirror Lake Park and Rotary Park.
Located in the parks on Mirror Lake are recreation amenities like sightseeing benches, playgrounds, picnic facilities, gazebos, shelters, canoe launch, piers, information billboards and washrooms.
On the south shores of Mirror Lake is Mirror Lake Park and the Bill Fowler Centre. The centre is a source of information for travelers when visiting the community of Camrose.
Mirror Lake Park is also a popular starting point for many activities enjoyed on the lake year round. During the winter months the trails are used for cross country skiing.
And during the summer months the activities enjoyed on Mirror Lake include canoeing, picnicking, walking, jogging, roller blading and birdwatching.
Camrose waterways, including Mirror Lake, are popular birding sites. In fact the community birders care for a family of swans that have made Mirror Lake their home for many years.
On the southern tip of Mirror Lake is Rotary Park. Here there are some sightseeing benches, a shelter and a large water fountain.
