Spray Valley Provincial Park is located next to the community of Canmore, Alberta, Canada in the backcountry mountains behind the community. The Spray Valley provincial park measures 25,598 hectares and is home to bears, bighorn sheep, wolves, coyotes and others.

Spray Valley park is a year round destination for activities in Alberta. During the summer months, activities like hiking, mountain biking and backpacking are enjoyed exploring the trails in the region. Fishing, camping, kayaking and canoeing are enjoyed while visiting the lakes and rivers.

Some of the activities enjoyed during the winter months, after the snow has fallen and temperatures have dropped, include ice fishing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and dog sledding.

Along the highways and secondary roads are various recreation areas. Some are picnic sites with picnic tables and sitting benches. Many with fantastic views. Plus a few of the picnic areas include trailhead entrances for trails leading to various wilderness destinations and backcountry campsites.

There are both day hikes and backcountry trails in this Canmore, Alberta, Canada park. Some of the hiking trails located in the Spray Valley Provincial Park include the Sparrowhawk, Buller Pass, Mount Bogart, Ribbon Creek, Galatea Creek, Fortress Ridge and the Guinn's Pass Trails.

On a multi day backpacking adventures near Canmore, Alberta there are trails with designated wilderness campsites. Hike in campsites are located at the Lillian Lake, Ribbon Lake and Ribbon Falls Recreation Areas.

There are serviced campgrounds located in the park for campers as well.
