Centennial Park is a community park and the main point of access to the, much larger, river valley park called Muskoseepi Park. Muskoseepi Park is a long corridor parkland protecting the Bear Creek Valley and Crystal Lake regions of Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada.

Photo GalleryCentennial Park is located on the north end of Muskoseepi Park just south of the reservoir. The park is the event centre, picnic site, information centre and launching point for activities and adventure in Muskoseepi Park in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

There is a museum and pavilion which are featured in Centennial Park - both are the centre of attention during events, meetings and festivals. Outside the buildings is a duck pond with a wooden bridge surrounded by fields of grass, a paved walkway and viewing benches.

Centennial Park has much to offer like an outdoor pool, picnic tables, sightseeing benches, picnic shelters, tennis courts, beach volleyball area, lawn bowling, large playground, skateboard park, horseshoe pits and some recreation buildings with a concession, change rooms, meeting rooms, and washrooms.

During the summer months some of the activities enjoyed in Centennial Park include mountain biking, jogging, birdwatching, picnicking, hiking, dog walking, swimming, rollerblading, volleyball, lawn bowling, horseshoes, tennis, skateboarding and basketball.

During the winter months the pond freezes over and is transformed into an outdoor skating rink.

How to Get to Centennial Park:

Travel to 100 Street in the community of Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada. From 100th Street turn west on to 102 Avenue. Continue on 102 Ave until 102 Street. There is an entrance to a parking lot for Centennial Park on the corner of 102 Avenue and 102 Street.
