Sylvan Lake Provincial Park is an activity park located west of the community of Red Deer, Alberta - just north of the Village of Sylvan Lake.

Sylvan Lake Photo GalleryThe park is situated on the western shore of the lake and includes a beautiful 1.6 kilometre long sandy beach complimented by high-bank, large grass lawns. The grass lawns are complimented by trees for shade and open area for play.

Throughout the park are picnic table sites. Some under the shade of trees and others out in the open sunshine. Other amenities include picnic shelters, a playground and washrooms. To access the lake there is a boat launch at the nearby marina.

Services important to travelers are easily accessible from the nearby Village of Sylvan Lake. Some of the services include accommodations, attractions, tours, restaurants, coffee shops, retail gift stores, hardware store, post office, internet, gas station and grocery store.

Sylvan Lake is a very popular adventure destination. The long sandy beach and beautiful lake attract many to the park every year for summer fun and winter thrills.

Some of the summer activities enjoyed in the Sylvan Lake Provincial Park include swimming, sunbathing, canoeing, boating, sailing, kayaking, fishing, water skiing, jet boating and wind surfing.

During the colder months, when the lake freezes over, some of the winter activities enjoyed on the lake include ice fishing, ice skating, snowmobiling (on lake only) and cross country skiing.
