Where are my long johns?
The rain is here. The mornings have frost and a freaky mist hovering over the lake. It is spooky yet very romantic. I am enjoying the rain as it is easier to work when it is raining as opposed to a beautiful sunny day. However the rain will be short lived. They say the snow is coming before the holidays. many are freaking out over here. Me.. well, I am secretly looking forward to it. I am one of those who cannot wait for snow. When the snow has fallen the winter activities begin. Snow is long johns, hot chocolate and tuques.
The number one priority is work this winter season. Lots to do. It is the season to build provincial websites and new features. But a close second is making time for play. And play is something we do well.
Hurry up snow. I am waiting for the first flakes! Snow means winter fun. I cannot wait to snowboard behind a snowmobile. I cannot wait to hop in the car in the early morning hours and drive to a local ski hill for the day. I cannot wait to try ice fishing for the first time on Lake Nippising. I cannot wait to go snowshoeing in the back country again.
And most of all.. I cannot wait to try kite boarding on the frozen lake.Yes.. I said kite boarding. It is when you are pulled by the winds by a large kite across the hard surface of a frozen lake. We just happen to have a large lake out the front door. Now we have to figure out where we can get these kites?
For now.. I am working late on our websites. It is peaceful out. The tip tap of the rain thumping on our roof. It is nice. It makes for good company. Now you are up to speed so I must get back to work. I am currently working on the photo gallery of the north Vancouver Island. A clean up job. There are over 10,000 pictures on our BCeh.com gallery. That is impressive eh.
Cheers
