Seasons
The rains are here in Cottage Country Ontario. A rainbow appears after the rains leading to a pot of gold on the other side of the lake. And across the lake is a forest of yellows, reds and purples – Nature’s Pot of Gold. The trees reflection is bouncing off the lake. The leaves are changing.. what a beautiful sight.
Outside the cottage is a yellow tree. It is a beacon as no other yellow tree is near by – it stands alone surrounded by green trees. It is our season barometer (main picture).
In Canada, most complain about the weather. It is something we all do. From BC to Ontario we have heard it all when it comes to people and local weather during our cross Canada trip. What we sometimes forget is that every country complains about the weather. Some countries are too hot, too many bugs, flash floods, droughts, twisters or wind storms.. we have sun, rain and snow. A different scenery every season. I am pretty happy with that on a global scale.
That is why I am grateful for all four seasons in Canada. We love them all. Every season has an outdoor activity and a purpose. For us spring and summer are research months, traveling the country. Fall and Winter are writing and creating our www.CanadaEH.net website months.
Give each month a purpose, treat yourself like we do. Activity wise for us.. summer is backpacking and camping. Fall is golfing, fishing and hiking. Winter is snowboarding and ice fishing. Spring is canoeing and kayaking. Every season has beautiful scenery. Every season is photography season. Every season creates memories.
How many memories depends on you. But none of Canada in any season is enjoyed from your couch.
Nature is putting on a show and you just might be missing it.
Cheers!!
