North Cape Coastal Drive (Pt IV) : P.E.I

North Point, PEI, Canada

The farthest point North I could reach on Prince Edward Island, Canada.

North Point… I made it! This pic above is the most northern point I could reach.

Absolutely beautiful day to take a road trip up the North Coastal Drive, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Bring your sunscreen, it is hot. The red cliffs with their unique rock formations towering over the Atlantic Ocean make quite spectacular photo op.

Be very careful as the rocks can be slippery when wet.

North Point Lighthouse, PE, Canada

Of course you also have the ever majestic North Point Lighthouse, just imagine the stories it could tell.

Talk a walk through the Black Marsh Trail, a new boardwalk trail, explaining the sites and sounds you see on the North Point shoreline, There are a number of observation booths as well, so you can sit and take a breather.
I took a little swim to cool off. It was a little cooler than the North shore beaches, which was refreshing to say the least.

The North Point is also a mainresearch facility for wind powered turbines, If you are interested in learning more about these monsters, this is the place to go.
