Exploring Canada with KEEN Canada

KEEN Canada and Canada eh Travel Exploring Canada

Exploring with My KEENS

KEEN Canada will be joining Canada eh Travel & Adventure this year on their 2013 summer research road trip. They are not only joining the adventures they are taking every step of the way.

KEEN Canada has sponsored the EH Team with some quality walking sandals and hiking boots. A kind and supportive gesture enabling the EH Team to better explore Canada while they research tourism.

We sat down online with KEEN Canada and asked them a few questions so you, our travel friends, have an opportunity to get to know the who, what, where and why of KEEN Canada.

KEEN Canada

Question 1 – “Please introduce KEEN Canada to our global travelers, followers, tweeters, bloggers and other ‘eager beavers.’ “

“KEEN began 10 years ago by asking a simple design question: Can a sandal protect the toes? The answer was yes. The answer was the Newport. KEEN products are designed with PLAY in mind. From mountains to deserts to city streets the KEEN playground is anyplace without a ceiling. When KEEN started in 2003 we made a promise to do things differently and since then we’ve partnered with non-profit organizations around the world to help turn ideals into actions.”

Question 2 – “Please share with us some KEEN products ideal for travel and adventure in Canada?”

“Order up some adventure with a side of water in the Newport H2 sandal from KEEN. The patented toe protection lets you follow any path, whether to rivers or trails, making it the perfect travel shoe, because it can do double duty allowing you to travel a little lighter. For urban adventures, check out our BLVD collection for casual comfort that will make sure your feet enjoy the trek around town.”

Question 3 – “Please share with our travelers KEEN CANADA’s relationship with Mother Nature?”

“At KEEN, we believe the outdoors is defined by ‘anyplace without a ceiling’. Every year we partner with organizations such as The Bruce Trail Conservancy or the Lake Ontario Waterkeeper to help protect land for its environmental and recreational value.”

Question 4 – “Please share with us some of KEEN CANADA’s favourite adventure destinations in Canada where work has taken you?”

“How do we only name a few favourites? Ziplining in Whistler, Road tripping through Banff, Hiking the Bruce Trail, exploring the Bay of Fundy…Our Recess Tour in 2012 took us to Victoria, Calgary, Saskatoon, Barrie, and Halifax, so we got to see a lot of this awesome country and meet a lot of great Canadians.”
