Creatives in Northern BC Retreat to Create and Recreate Community of Creatives in Northern BC is Growing

Six Women Share, Create and Recreate Art

Good Vibes, Self-Care, and Creative Empowerment for Women: Art in Tumbler Ridge.

Women's Art Retreat in Tumbler Ridge - Creativity truly is blossoming In Northern BC. Six creative ladies from Tumbler Ridge and Fort St John share their artwork in today's story. The power of connecting with nature is the overarching common denominator when artists and creatives think of themselves and what inspires and uplifts them.

The same spirit of inspiration ruled the NSG-sponsored event. A Creative Good-vibe retreat was held in the Tumbler Ridge Geopark area, Canada, on March 4, 2023.

Women's Art Retreat in Tumbler Ridge. An Educational Experience for the Creative Northern BC

Unlocking Positivity: A Group of Tumbler Ridge Women Retreat for Self-Discovery and Emotional Empowerment.

In a world filled with numerous challenges, seeking relief is something that we all yearn for. That is why the organizers of this event planned a stress-relieving, creative retreat for women that aimed to be both educational and empowering.

The warm-up exercises and agenda were carefully crafted to help women identify what makes them happy and to explore various self-care strategies that would enable them to maintain a positive mindset.

Additionally, the workshop included an introduction to the science behind NLP neurolinguistic programming, and participants were taught how to create a "good vibe anchor" - a symbol that would trigger positive emotions in any situation.

There were a lot of good vibes and warmth while outside ruled the winter.

Empowerment and Connection Through Relaxing Creative Visualization.

Creativity For Self-Empowerment.

Through a creative exercise in visualizing and painting, participants could identify and relive happy personal experiences while imagining future ones, with the activity's success reflected in their laughter and smiling faces. As a result, each woman left the Women's Art Retreat in Tumbler Ridge feeling uplifted, empowered and equipped with new tools to maintain a positive emotional state and a deeper connection to their identity as a creative artist in Northern BC.

Creative Connection: Inspiring Nature with Art

Northern BC Artist Lorna Penner Shares Creative Inspiration and Success with Silk Painting

During the retreat in Tumbler Ridge, which was situated in the creative Northern BC, Lorna Penner, an artist from the 90-day creative survival challenge living in the Fort St. John, BC area, shared her thoughts on inspiration and her recent creation. As a result of her tremendous success, she was featured with her silk painting artwork.

"I find my favourite motivation to be my excitement in seeing the beauty surrounding me. I love the stillness of nature and the outdoors which contradicts the energy it gives me with a million thoughts and ideas forming in my head. I take this and go into my studio where I lose time and worries from anything else.

This is a good life. I am very grateful for it.

" As I begin each day and look out the window I feel so thankful to be living this beautiful life in the north. It is these moments that I want to capture and share through my creative process.

I am appreciative and grateful of feeling connected to the earth and nature, making choices of design, technique and colour that depict how I see my world."

In Conclusion: The Creativity in Northern BC Art is Blossoming

The impact of the 2022 Silk Pro Creative Survival Challenge has extended beyond the challenge itself, with participants preparing for the next level, the Art Pro 90-day Creative Survival Challenge coming up. Six artists from the Fort St. John, Tumbler Ridge, and Taylor areas of British Columbia are among those getting ready to take part. Their participation is a testament to the thriving creative community in the North, where art is not just a hobby but a way of life.
