Things To Do in the Autumn months in the Okanagan
Some of my "bucket list" adventure destinations
North Okanagan Valley in the Fall - Now that fall is here, we are all ready for the "spooky season" to start. Being that Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away, to Halloween being next month, we are ready for the leaves, the pumpkins, and the Autumn fun! In due time, families will be visiting haunted and scary attractions to wagon rides to mmany other kid/family-friendly experiences. There is a lot to do in the North Okanagan this fall!
Pumpkins in the North Okanagan Valley in the Fall
Looking for pumpkin picking opportunities?
Located along Bella Vista Road is Davidsons Orchard, infamous for its pumpkin patch! Starting in October, Davidson Orchard will open their pumpkin patch for "U-pick pumpkins". Their "Johnny Popper Tour" is a highlight that every North Okanagan child remembers, ridding a wagon pulled by a tractor, though the grounds the pumpkin patch, picking a pumpkin, and ridding the wagon back with your pumpkin! Picking a pumpkin in North Okanagan Valley in the Fall at Davidsons is $10 and the tour is $7.50 for adults and $4.50 for children! There is even a photographer on-site for catching those fall moments for an extra charge!
Looking for a bit more seclusion and a quieter experience? Head to St. Annes road in Armstrong to The Pumpkin Patch! Families can take pictures on their hay wagon. (A set wagon that does not move). Starting on October 1st from dawn to dusk they are open for you and your family to pick pumpkins, squash, and decorative corns!
Okanagan Family Activities
Corn Mazes and Pumpkin Festivals
Have a family with little ones, looking for family-friendly events? The North Okanagan has those too! Historic O'Keefe Ranch offers "Family Daze in the Corn". Each day starting on the second of October from 10am-4pm families can visit O'Keefe and participate in the corn maze, then after you can enjoy making smores and visiting the buildings on site!
During Thanksgiving weekend Armstrong/Spallmachene Chamber of Commerce have announced a Pumpkin Festival for families! Visit the IPE grounds and watch pumpkins get launched into the air. And take pictures with the largest pumpkins in town!
Throughout the entire month of October, families can walk downtown Armstrong and judge the scarecrow contest! Businesses have been busy creating and decorating their very best scarecrow and are ready to show you what they have created! See... told you there is lots to do in the North Okanagan Valley in the Fall. And there is more!
Haunted and Frightful Attractions
