Mt. 7 Lookout is a mountain biking trail destination located south of the community of Golden, BC in the Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada. The summit is a jumping off point for paragliding and for hang gliding.
The top of the Mount 7 Lookout rests at an elevation of 4000 feet making for good downhill runs, traverse descents and forested single track. The trail network is a downhill collection of trails with dirt jumps, bridges, big steeps and signage. The trails are built and maintained by the community and are designed for intermediate and expert riders.
It is not uncommon to see hang gliders in the sky landing in the lower valley while mountain biking the Mount 7 trail network. At the summit on Mount 7 is a jump off point for the winged adventurer and a lookout point for all to enjoy. From the summit one can enjoy some great views of the Kicking Horse Canyon.
The trail network consists of dirt trails such as the True Value, 5 km, Erich's, Brisk, Moonshine, Skid Marks, B-12, Dead Dog, Kamikaze, Jeep Road, Rotary, 6 Km and the Woodlot Ride Trails. The network of trails includes some gravel road routes. many of the trails inter connect forming loop routes and easy outs around the more difficult routes.

How to Get Here: In Golden travel south on Highway #95 to Reflection Lake. Travel east on Reflection Lake Road past the Rodeo Grounds. Turn right on Mount 7 Road for 14 kilometres to the lookout via a rough gravel road. Many shuttle to the summit. Some drive up.
