Service Park in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Canada is an elevated park located in the centre of the commercial district of Prince Rupert, BC. The park sits on a hillside on Fulton Street surrounded by floral gardens, protected by Totem Poles and dissected by a paved walking path connecting explorers to 4th Ave W.
Service Park is not only a connector parkway but also home to two Totem Poles. One of which is the Chief's Pole at Skedans carved-out with a Killer Whale, Rainbow Person, Tcamaos (legendary creature that could roll-over canoes), Eagle and 3 Watchmen.
The rock cliffs, floral shrubs and cliff hanging trees provide the backdrop for the towering Totem Poles. Behind the poles, the walking path is steep and very short and leads to some fantastic views.
Service Park is easy to access becoming one of the better areas in Prince Rupert, B.C. to enjoy a great view of the city, the harbour, the marine activity, the mountains and the surrounding islands. It is an ideal destination for binoculars and a camara on a clear day.
