Hudson Bay Mountain located in the community of Smithers, BC, British Columbia, Canada is a popular year round destination in the Bulkley Valley region. The 2331 metre mountain is decorated in trails, bluffs, forests, valleys, ridges and meadows attracting hikers and mountain bikers in the summer and xc skiers, snowboarders, downhill skiers and snowshoers in the winter.
The lower slopes of the mountain are painted with crisscrossing trail systems leading to viewpoints and bluffs used by mountains bikers and xc skiers. The upper slope trails focus around a ski resort in the winter months and therefore the activities of skiing, snowboarding and sledding are popular. In the summer those same ski runs become hiking and mountain biking trails.

Further along the mountain there are other trails also like the Smoothy, Goat and the Yo' Mamma Trails. Higher up on the mountain in the summer, above the tree line with the mountain goats, there are hiking trails leading to the South Peak and to Crater Lake starting from the ski resort.
During the winter months the higher elevations on the mountain are covered in snow surrounding an alpine resort catering to skiers, snowboarders and cross country skiers. The ski resort, referred to as Ski Smithers is only a 30 minute drive from the Village of Smithers and the nordic ski centre is a mere 20 minutes away.
Ski Smithers on Hudson Bay Mountain boosts 1700 vertical feet of snow covering over 120 hectares (300 acres) of ski and boarding trails surrounded by scenery. The Bulkley Bay Nordic Centre for cross country skiers boosts a ski lodge and 35 kilometres of groomed trails, of which, 3 kilometres are lit up for night exploring.
