Terrace Mountain Trail in Terrace British Columbia, Canada is a great opportunity to view the community of Terrace from the top of a local mountain. The moderate trail is rough in parts and does have some steep sections throughout the hiking route... but in general it is an easy hike. The should take an average person 3 hours to complete the 5 kilometre trek.
The Terrace Mountain Trail is located within the community city limits and enjoys 2 easily accessible trailheads, both with a large sign that is easily spotted. The trail works its way along river rock beds, over dead fall trees and exposed roots and explores up along ridges trekking through forests and heavy foliage.
The viewpoints along the way vary with the highlight being the views from the top of the mountain at "Big Rock". Along the trail, one might have the opportunity to view some wildlife like bears, eagles and deer and maybe, a moose.
The hiking trailheads are at the end of Halliwell Ave or at the end of Johnstone Street. The trail is also within walking distance of some of the other community hikes like the Howe Creek Trail and the Heritage Walking Tour.
