Kamloops Lake is located at the confluence of the North and South Thompson Rivers, west of the community of Kamloops, BC in the Thompson-Shuswap region of British Columbia, Canada. The community of Savona is also situated on th elake on the west end of the lake.

Other smaller destinationson Kamloops Lake  Fredrick on the north side of the lake and, and on the south side of the lake are Cherry Creek and the Tobiano resort community. The best services are in Tobiano including a boat launch, trestle and gas dock. 

Kamloops Lake is 1.6 km wide, 29 km long, and up to 152 m deep. It is generally easy to access from the main points on the lake. There is a boat launch, some beach front and a provincial park on the lake. 

The lake is river fed so the water levels go up and down with the seasons. During the summer the lake warms up enough to attract people to the region for  swimming, fishing, boating, canoeing, camping, picnicking and kayaking.

Best access is in Tobiano. Both Savona and Kamloops also have boat launches, but due to low water in the summer months may not be accessible.
