Riverside Park
In Riverside Park is a gathering place known as Highwater Plaza. The plaza consists of flower gardens, sitting benches and many stone monuments representing glaciers, lakes and rivers. A "Kilometre 0" stone monument marks the beginning of Rivers Trail.

Beside the plaza is a white sandy beach and large sections of shaded grass lawns. Stone picnic tables and sitting benches decorate the park, some with river views and others with privacy hidden in the trees. There is a water park and playground for children. There is change rooms and washrooms for everyone.

In the sunshine months the beach will be busy with families swimming, tubing and laughing. Some people bring a book or frisbee for entertainment. Others enjoy the river views while watching the water skiers and wakeboarders playing on the river and the joggers, walkers and rollerbladers zipping by on Rivers Trail.
