Denninger Scout Trail is a challenging, thigh-burning hike up a steep grade on Bald Mountain for 8.8 kilometres before reaching the summit with far reaching views. To assist in your steep hike there are about 9 to 10 switchbacks along the route becfore you reach the "Earth Station" section of the hike. Should see it on your right.

Continueing along the trail a bit further and the views start to show themselves starting with the south arm of Lake Cowichan and Honeymoon Bay which is then followed by views of the North Arm and Youbou.

At this point there is a trail which can take you back down called the Venturer's Challenge or you can continue to the summit which is about another hour of hiking. At the peak are the remnants of an old forestry tower lookout. The summit is 629 m. There is  a picnic table located at the top so to rest and chow down before your hike back down.

The Old Wolf's Hill Lookout Trail is part of the beginning of the Denninger Scout Trail on Bald Mountain.
