China Beach is part of the Juan de Fuca Provincial Park located near Sooke BC on Vancouver Island Canada. The beach is a day use area,  a campground and the eastern trailhead to the Juan de Fuca Marine Trail. The beautiful beach attracts many to the region for hiking, relaxing, picnicking, camping and wildlife watching and therefore  is a popular destination for many.

From China Beach there are many other adventures to explore as well. One may want to explore the shoreline and take a short walk to the western end of the beach where there is a waterfall.

From China Beach, during the spring and fall season, one may see some migrating grey whales in the distance as their migration route passing by in front of the beach. The experts tell us that as many as  17,000 whales travel this route.

The eastern access point to the Juan de Fuca Marine Trail is China Beach. The 47 kilometre trail is a popular backpacking adventure on the west coast. For day trippers the first 2.5 kilmetres of the trail connect you to Mystic Beach.

Not far from China Beach is another beach called Second Beach. From the campground there is a 1 km trail of navigating down some steep stairs and  gravel trail.
