Tourism Nicola Valley presents a series of 5 FREE practical business training webinars and online education sessions to develop your business skills and strategy to assist you in running a successful small business in the Nicola Valley and surrounding communities (limited seats available).
Tourism Nicola Valley is hosting a series of specialized Fresh Start 2021 Business Webinars to tackle the challenges faced by COVID-19. These webinars are geared at equipping businesses in our region with the skills and knowledge they need to survive the new realities of our COVID economy.
A significant part of the project is to provide transferable skills training in social media, SEO (search engine optimization), digital marketing promotion and digital management to local stakeholders who otherwise would not have access to and/or not have the resources to access this type of training.
Increase the tourism and economic development sector in the Nicola Valley by enabling local and regional communities, with limited tourism marketing resources, to promote themselves using authentic digital content and social media marketing techniques via the Internet and to provide local stakeholders with the skills and training to continue to build this type of promotion in a cost efficient and ongoing manner.
The goal of the project is to build a regional tourism sector and grow a healthy small business environment by; (1) increasing the number of visitors and average stays to the valley creating new money in our stores and accommodations; (2) encouraging longer stays in the region with education of what the valley offers; and (3) provide small businesses the skills necessary to grow and survive life after COVID 19.
Small businesses, tourism ventures, non-profits, clubs and associations operating in the following communities and regions are eligible to attend any of the Fresh Start 2021 Webinars. Communities include Merritt, Lower Nicola, Aspen Grove, Ashcroft, Brookmere, Douglas Lake, Logan Lake, Cache Creek, Quilchena, Spences Bridge, and the surrounding Indigenous Communities including the Metis Society.
Each free skills training webinar listed below will be available online using ZOOM. Groups will be small to allow for interaction and questions. Limited seating available.
