Swallowtail Lighthouse is located on the northern end of Grand Manan Island on a long peninsula in-between Sawpit Cove and Pettes Cove. The wooden 1860 Swallow Tail Lighthouse is recognized as a National Historic Building. A short hiking trail with 54 steps, a wooden bridge and then a gravel trail connect travelers to the attraction.
