Point Pleasant Park is a 75 hectare (190 acres) urban recreation and historic park situated at the southern tip of Halifax Peninsula in Nova Scotia, Canada. The park is best enjoyed and viewed by exploring the 39 kilometres of forested and marine-view trails. It is also home to many historic sites and most notably the Prince of Wales Tower which is the oldest Martello Tower in North America.
Point Pleasant Park adventures, and activities most enjoyed include hiking, dog walking, rollerblading, biking, sightseeing, picnicking, swimming, beachcombing, birding (birdwatching) and learning about the history of Canada.
In many people's opinion this is THE park to visit in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada because of the abundance of history, the beautifully maintained trails, sandy beaches and marine scenery. Who are we to argue with that.
