Riverdale Park East is situated in east Toronto, Ontario, Canada and boasts an incredible view of Toronto's skyscrapers, including the CN Tower. The park has large sports fields including tennis courts, ball diamonds and an artificial outdoor ski rink in the winter.

In the 1980s the statue was erected. Riverdale Park is in close proximity to east Toronto's chinatown, and can easily be reached by foot after exploring the park.
