Chasing Dreams in 2025 with Resolutions for Canadian Glamping Enthusiasts

New Year, New Adventures: Adventure Seeker Resolutions for 2025 by supporting local, championing sustainability, and embracing adventure

Four Great New Years Resolutions for Canadian Adventurers in 2025 - As the snow blanketed the great Canadian wilderness and the promise of a fresh start unfolded, there was no better time to reflect on the year ahead. A personal passion of mine focused on combining the joys of nature with the comforts of home, and 2025 is shaping up to be one of my most exciting years yet! Going forward, this New Year, I have embraced resolutions that support local communities, champion sustainability, and will bring a spark of adventure to every corner of Canada. Here's a look at my Adventure Seeker Resolutions for 2025 with style and purpose.

First of Four Great New Years Resolutions for Canadian Adventurers in 2025: Shop and Buy Canadian

Shopping Canadian. Nowhere better to shop and buy Canadian than The Portage Store just off Highway 60 in Algonquin Park, Ontario, Canada.

There is something uniquely rewarding about supporting Canadian brands. Not only does it help local businesses thrive, but it also invests in sustainable practices and products designed with our distinct climate and culture in mind. This year, I am committed to buying Canadian-made gear for my glamping adventures. From handcrafted soaps and bug sprays to eco-friendly comfortable hiking wear, our nation brims with innovation and craftsmanship. Of course, every purchase is a celebration of Canada's entrepreneurial spirit.

Why It Matters:

  • Boosting the Economy: Every dollar spent on Canadian products supported jobs and local businesses.
  • Sustainability: Many Canadian brands prioritized eco-conscious manufacturing.
  • Quality: Designed for Canadian climates, these products were built to last.

Resolution #2: Embrace the Canadian Elements in 2025

Winter can be a great time to explore your favourite Canadian landscapes in a different way. Here we are walking across frozen Dog Lake, Ontario, rather than boating.
An outdoor fire warms things up while exploring Maple Madness at the Little Cataraqui Conservation Area, near Kingston, Ontario.

Canada's weather can be unpredictable, but that is part of the charm. Instead of letting the cold or rain keep us indoors, I am resolved to gear up and get out there! Whether it a winter adventure at a local toboggan hill or outdoor skating rink, or a spring adventure on the water between ice fishing and dock fishing there is beauty to be found in every season.

Resolution #3: Prioritize Sustainability in Canada

A re-purposed mason jar filled with solar-powered twinkle lights provides ambiance at the campsite. Reduce, reuse, and recycle!

Our pristine wilderness is what makes glamping in Canada so magical, so I resolve to do my part to protect it. This year, I have focused on reducing waste, choosing eco-friendly products, and leaving every campsite better than it was found. From truly biodegradable toiletries to solar-powered upcycled gadgets, I resolve to tread lightly while glamping in style.

Resolution #4: Explore Close-to-Home

The rugged shoreline near Pebble Beach at the Quinte Isles Campark, Ontario.

With its sprawling landscapes and diverse ecosystems, Canada offered endless opportunities for exploration. I have made it a goal to discover new places close to home. Whether it is a new-to-me hidden gem of a campground, a serene lakeside retreat, or a rugged shoreline, there will always be something new to experience.
