During the summer seasons the trails are used by naturalists and backpackers primarily and when the winter arrives the trails transform into single track cross country ski and snowshoeing trails.
The park is on the Malaspina Peninsula covering over 4 hectares with no real trial system to explore but does have beach access and camping. It is also a launch point for kayaking and scuba diving.
This is a great activity trail for mountain bikers, off roaders and hikers offering ocean views of Okeover Inlet, Malaspina Peninsula and the Georgia Strait.
Kayakers usually plan a visit after launching from Lund on their way to the marine wonders of Desolation Sound. Scuba diving draws people to the area to explore the underwater reefs and marine activity as Copeland has many protected bays and sheltered inlets to explore.

Trail hikers will encounter a picnic table area and another lookout with spanning views looking out at Dinner Rock on the left, Savary Island in the middle and Hernando Island on the right.
