Side note, if you accidentally leave food scraps beside you with a dog...they might not be there anymore.

Here's a hike to add to your British Columbia Bucket List! I have done this in the spring, summer and now winter and I would have to say, winter is the best! Myra Canyon Trestles are located 30 minutes from Kelowna.
It is a 12km (one way) easy hike that has 18 trestles and 2 tunnels. If 24 km return is a bit, go to at least km 6 (12km return) for the best views or in the first 4 km (8km return) you will pass 8 trestles and 2 tunnels.
You will have to drive around 7km up a logging road and winter driving experience is recommended (4x4 was not needed when we went).

Happy New Year everyone! I hope it has started on a good note and have been able to get a few adventures in!
Did a sunrise hike on New Years Day but the sun didn't show up and it was -18C out and I thought it would be a great idea to attempt to make breakfast on my little hiking stove (after about 40 mins with a little bit of hot water and freezing cold hands, I will just stick to eating breakfast before and bringing hot coffee with me instead. I will keep that for a little bit warmer days). I gave it a 0/10 recommendation but still got a stellar view in!

I'm starting to see a trend with Elbow. I've heard that area is beautiful! Great pictures of Saskatchewan, unfortunately, I didn't go home this summer so it's nice to see them!

Enjoy walking across the suspension bridge (which really bounces) or along the treetops. There is also a cliff walk and activities to keep the young ones busy.
When you're still finding fall hikes in Nov! Happy dance!
Bluenose Mountain is about a 30 min drive from Vernon, BC, and rated as a moderate 4km loop hike offering views over Lavington and the Okanagan.
