Spring is in the air and the Maple Syrup will be running for the Sunderland, Ontario Maple Syrup Festival.

The festival offers a great opportunity to celebrate our Canadian tradition of making maple syrup, our liquid gold. The Sunderland Maple Syrup Festival is 2 days of fun family activities with Free Admission & Free Parking.
Mark your calendars for April 1st & 2nd, 2023.
Start Saturday & Sunday at the Legion for a Pancake breakfast that is delicious and available until early afternoon.
The vendors on Sunderlands River Street put on an impressive street sale with beautiful handcrafted items along with toys, clothes, and of course Maple Syrup.

Updates as we get closer to the dates of the event.

      HURRAH for Maple Syrup festivals. I remember one of the first times I visited Ottawa and became fascinated with all the different kinds of mapleHURRAH for Maple Syrup festivals. I remember one of the first times I visited Ottawa and became fascinated with all the different kinds of maple syrup and candy that were being sold in ByWard Market. Vendors were selling maple syrup in cans straight from the nearby farms! Well, I thought they would make perfect gifts, and then I love pancakes and of course, needed to obtain a collection for myself. When it came time to fly home . . . problem. I ended up buying a soft bag for the clothing contents of my suitcase to take on as a sort of large carry-on pillow for the plane. The maple syrup cans filled my checked suitcase. It all arrived safely, and I had maple syrup for years and years -- so did all my family and friends!   More ...

      When I was a kid, I thought it would be awesome to live where you could get maple syrup out of a tree. Pancakes, yum!
