It is worth coming to the great white north for this event alone!
Over 400 slabs of ice have already been harvested from the frozen Yellowknife Bay to construct the Festivals Famous Ice Castle.
The effort that goes into this event is simply incredible and takes 2 months of hard work to put together a fun month-long event for all to enjoy.
This year snow carvers will be tasked with creating something from a cube of the world's best snow keeping the theme of 'Myth, Story, Legend.'
Come celebrate Yellowknife's community spirit, collaboration, innovation in the arts, and entertainment for young and old.
This is a 100% outdoor event venue that in 2022 had over 600 visitors on opening day and 8500 visitors during March.
The 20,000 sq ft Ice Castle had 3 slides, 3 shugs, and even a Chapel.
The spirit of Yellowknife shines during SmowKing's Winter Festival where you can enjoy Live Music Events, Art Exhibits, Comedy Nights, Jigging Lessons, Snow Carvers, and Ice Ball Making Demos.
bring your skates and we'll see you in beautiful Yellowknife, NWT March 2023!
