Places To Visit on the Avalon Peninsula!

Adventures in Colliers Nfld Canada on the Atlantic Ocean near the Capital City of St. Johns Newfoundland.

A Little Cup of Sea in Newfoundland Canada located in Colliers, NL is approximately 1 hour outside St Johns on the Avalon Peninsula. The hut is located right on the edge of the ocean and is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy some locally sourced tea and experience simple peace and tranquility. Just slow down and get cozy! Read more below if you want to experience this little perfectly curated coastal refuge yourself.

The Atmosphere at A Little Cup of Sea in Newfoundland Canada

Nestled by the ocean in Colliers, this hut was adorned with a cozy atmosphere, accentuated by the crackling warmth of a tiny cute wood stove. The walls were decorated with local artwork and full of Newfoundland and Labrador flavour. The hut had been carefully crafted with weathered wood, giving its rustic charm that blended seamlessly with the coastal vibe. Consequently, the stove had been stoked and tended to, and it radiated a comforting heat that enveloped the whole entire little tiny space! Love it!  Comfy armchairs were positioned perfectly offering a wonderful view of the ocean just beyond, allowing us to watch the ocean waves. Therefore the large windows provided natural sunlight and calming glorious feel. The outside deck was the perfect spot to sit and sip some local tea and breathe that cool, crisp Newfoundland air. A Day trip to The Little Cup of Sea is a perfect spot to unplug.

What to do while visiting the Little Cup of Sea beach hut!

The whole experience of A Little Cup of Sea for a cup of tea is unique in so many ways. As I sat in the small rustic hut by the sea , my hands cupped around a steaming mug of tea, I savoured the moment. The salty sea breeze danced through the window, while the crackling fire kept us toasty warm. With each sip I relished the sip of the blueberry tea creating such a sense of tranquility for me. The tea warmed my body, and the rustic surroundings warmed my soul, creating a moment of pure bliss. Guests have also enjoyed the homemade waffletons, which is a delightful version of the touton in our province. Toutons are little bits of pan fried dough which would traditionally topped with molasses, jam or butter. Waffletons are similar in that they are made from Nan's white bread dough but are stuffed with strawberry jam and cooked up in a waffle maker! What a treat! The hut is truly a little piece of heaven.  Once inside, we opted to play a game of scrabble while we sipped our tea! It was intense but we just concentrated and enjoyed! Outside the hut, You can stroll around the rocky beach or rent a paddle board or kayak during peak season. While exploring the shoreline on a paddle board or kayak you may see a variety of sea stars, sea urchins, crabs and fish. Seabirds also frequent the area as well if you look hard enough.

Day Trip from St Johns Newfoundland

In summary, this little day trip was good for my soul. I always say a Staycation in Newfoundland is good for the soul! Taking time from busy life and just being present and connecting with loved ones is golden. The simple experience of a cup of tea at A Little Cup of Sea is incredibly relaxing. The Newfoundland and Labrador lifestyle is characterized by a blend of rugged natural beauty, rich cultural history and a strong sense of community. Its close connection with the sea is showcased at this sweet little hut in a modern way! Slow down and breathe the fresh air here at A Little Cup of Sea and you won't be disappointed I promise.
