The east end of Baker Park merges into the Bowmount Natural Environment Park which is a wilderness area with quiet areas for walking on secluded trails. While its area isn’t as large as its next door neighbours, Baker Park does have pathways extending for countless kilometres in either direction past its boundary, just in case you feel like exploring the banks of the Bow River and beyond.

Known as Calgary's most popular venue for outdoor wedding photography, Baker Park is also ideal for family gatherings and picnics.

Baker Park is located on the other side of the Bow River from Bowness Park. There is parking, but l always like to walk from Bowness Park to Baker Park on the scenic paved trail that follows the river.  There's a central area with a grass amphitheater popular for summer concerts.
