George Moss Park is in the SE community of Ogden, Alberta Canada near Calgary and has recently been transformed with the addition of colorful basketball courts. The neighborhood kids had been playing basketball on a concrete pad for years, and the new basketball courts gave them a safer place to meet and play. Plans for an ice skating rink in the winter will allow the community and visitors to use the park year-round.
The children's playground at George Moss Park includes a climber with a tall slide, a jeep climber, an airplane bouncer, an angled spinner, a surfboard, and a swing set with 2 baby seats, and 2 regular swing seats. The benches under the mature trees near the playground make a nice spot for parents to watch the kids play. In addition to the playground, there are baseball diamonds with small bleacher stands and three tennis courts. The hard-surface tennis courts are surrounded by trees and bushes that provide some nice shade. There is no lighting at these courts. George Moss Park is open from 7:30 am to 11 pm daily.
