What looks like a bunch of debris floating in the water at first sight or even a marine animal entangled in rope, it is actually a bunch of sea lions floating in a group which is also known as "rafting". For the sea lions this is an alternative instead of getting out of the water to rest, instead they float together in a big group with their flippers sticking out of the water. This infact is quite normal behaviour, and nothing to be alarmed about. This phenomanon is mostly observed in spring time but does happen year round and is such a cool sight to see!
