The Victoria Film Festival (VFF) is back with all screenings in-person! The festival is held every February in Victoria, British Columbia and brings unique artistic voices from Canada and around the world to local screens. The 10-day film festival is much anticipated and includes an opening gala event, Art Exhibit (Atrium Lobby at 800 Yates Street), an event for children, Jammies & Toons, and industry and masterclass events, along the many inspiring films!

Additionally, several of the films that are juried and accepted into the festival are selected to receive an award, the winners will be announced on February 13th for:

*Best Feature Film
*Best Canadian Feature
*Best Canadian First Feature $1000 cash prize
*Best Documentary
*Best Short Animation $500 cash prize
*Audience Favourite Feature
*Cultural Currents Award $1000 cash prize

TICKETS are available in person at the door 30 minutes before showtime, but often films sell out quickly, so it is best to purchase in advance from the website.

*Please note, every ticket holder needs to have VFF Membership: $2.00

In British Columbia, the government requires that you be a member of a Society showing unclassified films and you must be over the age of 18. The Victoria Film Festival screens unclassified films. Membership is only $2. Once you are a member you can see the films at the Festival and The Vic Theatre until the end of July.

Venues
The 2023 Victoria Film Festival is taking place between February 3rd and 12th at various locations throughout the city, including: The Vic Theatre, Capitol 6 Theatre, Odeon 5 Theatre, Blue Bridge Theatre, Cinema Onboard (Prince of Whales Whale Watching) and the Mint for Sips 'N' Cinema. Details on films, specific events, venues and pricing are available from the virtual program available online and pamphlets available from the VFF office (1215 Blanshard St.) and at Serious Coffee shops and other various locations throughout the city.
