Event Description:	Marystown is located on the historic Burin Peninsula of Newfoundland Canada along the Heritage Run. The town serves as the primary economic and commercial hub on the peninsula. Rich in history of life at sea, Marystown is known for its shipbuilding history and ship repair industries. In fact, while you are visiting check out the new Model Ship Gallery and Exhibition. In the past the Marystown Shining Sea Festival featured events such as live music and entertainment, demolition derby, rubber dingy races, fireworks display, parades, food and fun for all ages.
