The Victoria IEOA Truck Parade and Food Drive: What You Need to Know

This must be one of the brightest parades around with a fleet of over 80 commercial trucks and buses that will light up the streets of Victoria BC for the annual truck parade and food drive, hosted by the Island Equipment Owners Association (IEOA).

The IEOA Truck Parade starts in Victoria at the Breakwater District at Ogden Point at 5 p.m. and finishes at Royal Bay in Colwood at approximately 8 p.m.

The route will begin at the Breakwater, travel along Dallas Road and loop through Oak Bay before turning left onto Fort Street, turning right onto Yates Street and right onto Douglas Street. It will then travel north on Douglas Street. It will then travel north on Douglas Street and head through downtown to Saanich and out to the West Shore.

Visitors are encouraged to walk, cycle or take public transit to watch the annual truck parade, and for those who can, please consider making an online contribution to one of the following organizations:

*Goldstream Food Bank

Over the years, the Truck Light Convoy has donated over 170,000 pounds of food and $84,000 in fundraising support of local food banks.

Traffic Impacts

There will be temporary, rolling intersection closures for this event. Please expect some traffic delays along the parade route.

Dress warm, jackets, hats and gloves and bring along hot chocolate! This is bright loud horn blasting fun!

The Festival of Lights and Music is from December 2nd until January 7th, 2024 at Bowring Park, St. John's, Newfoundland.
This FREE family event includes festival music, free hot chocolate, entertainment, and hundreds of thousands of colorful festive lights.
Join in while the Duck Pond at Bowring Park becomes illuminated with the reflection of the gorgeous holiday lights throughout the Park.
Some of the great performers this year are Sherry Ryan, Salt Beef Junkies, and Boogie Babes. Bundle up and join in the holiday fun!

The Evergreen Festival 2023 is on until Sunday, December 17th in Halifax, Nova, Scotia, Canada.
Bring the family and stroll along the Halifax Waterfront, lit with thousands of festive lights along with Downtown Halifax and Dartmouth which are beautifully decorated.
Come to Evergreen Stage right next to The Beer Gardens on the Halifax waterfront and enjoy LIVE Music and delicious food and beverages provided by The Beer Garden.

Vendors from around the province are offering an amazing variety of local food, drink, clothing, gifts, and so much more.

The Simcoe Christmas Panorama 2023 is from December 2nd to December 31st in Simcoe, Ontario, Canada
For over 60 years the Simcoe Christmas Panorama Light Show has been a family tradition to visit, with over 500,000 lights and over 60 displays, this holiday light show is one not to miss!

The Leduc Country Lights 2023 is from December 1st to December 31st in Calmar, Alberta, Canada.
This is not a drive-thru event but it is a wonderful winter stroll.
The pathways are designed for walking and you will see lots of incredible lights and displays along the way.
There are several fires to keep you warm while you explore this magical wonderland.
Santa will be visiting on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings!!

The 55th Annual Windsor Santa Claus Parade 2023 is on Saturday, December 2nd in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
The parade starts at 6 pm and follows a route along Ouellette Avenue from Wyandotte to Riverside, and Riverside West to Caron Ave.
Come early, dress warm, and get ready for talented Marching Bands, Parade Characters, beautiful Floats lit with thousands of Christmas lights, and the Jolly Old Elf himself, SANTA!

The Niagara Falls Winter Festival of Lights 2023 is from November 22nd until January 7th in Niagara Falls, Canada.

The official light-up ceremony will be at 6 pm on Saturday, November 25th
with Entertainment starting at 5 pm.
Bring the family as Confederation Park is lit up with thousands and thousands of sparkling festive lights and displays. There will be Hot Chocolate & Cookies, Beautiful Ice Sculptures & Fireworks - Opening night only.
Donations to the Food Bank are gratefully accepted only on the Opening Night.
Lions Festival of Lights 2023 is located on Confederation Park Golf Course and can be viewed along 14 St NW, North of 24 Avenue.
