This is a fundraiser to furnish the new Craigflower Community & Performing Arts Centre
The new Craigflower Community & Performing Arts Centre is a 10,000 square foot Scottish cultural centre on the Craigflower Manor House National Historic Site property along the Old Island Highway at Admirals Road.
The vision for the centre is to provide a community hub for the performing and visual arts, culture and heritage activities and to bring together different social and cultural activities to reflect local community needs.
The original Craigflower Manor was built by Kenneth McKenzie in 1856, as a farmhouse for a large Hudson's Bay Company farm. The site later became the main community centre for Fort Victoria. The Victoria Highland Games Association entered into a long-term tenure agreement with the provincial government to manage Craigflower Manor, and it has since been revitalized.
