The Abitibi DeTroyes Waterway Provincial Park also includes part of the Black and Abitibi Rivers, as well as, 4 eskers. Besides canoeing, boating and fishing - the other activities enjoyed in the park include wilderness camping, birdwatching and wildlife sightings.
The Kettle Lakes Provincial Park is best known for its kettle lakes, eskers and erratics. The lakes are a popular destination for adventures like canoeing, kayaking, swimming, birding and fishing for rainbow, brook trout, perch and northern pike.
Because the provincial park is largely a byproduct of receding glaciers during the last Ice Age the landscape includes eskers, 29 lakes, bogs, sand dunes, sandy beaches and a boreal forest consisting of jack pine, black spruce, white birch and tamarack trees.
