I believe in adventure at any age. I'm retired, with two children and four grandchildren. I love photography, writing, and exploring our countryside. All my photos are from the roadside, and therefore are scenes accessible to anyone. Parks that I enjoy will likely have benches, picnic tables, or other places where I can pause with a notebook or just contemplate the scenery. I have lived in PEI, NS, and Manitoba but my home has been in British Columbia for many years now.
In 2021 I headed out on a great adventure. A solo road-trip through BC and Alberta in which I covered over 4,000 km in eight days. I have recently written a travelogue based on that trip called Secret Destinations, published in June 2022 through Friesen Press. This book tells about places visited, some of my reflections as I travelled, and is filled with photos of scenery and wildlife. I've discovered there is much more beauty in our world than I can ever fully comprehend. Now my aim is to share as much of this beauty through pictures as I can. |
