Hi everyone, I am so happy to be here! My name is Farah McCrate and I am fortunate to live in the beautiful province of Newfoundland and Labrador. I am located on the North East Avalon Peninsula region of the province, close to the capital city of St. John's, but I travel and adventure all over the island! I am an avid outdoors person who enjoys hiking, camping, sea kayaking, snow shoeing, fat biking and generally getting off the beaten path - which is not hard in NL. I am an animal lover and believe strongly in being a responsible steward of the earth. I volunteer my time as President of the Board of Directors for Nature Newfoundland and Labrador and with several citizen science projects to make sure I am giving back to nature when it gives so much to me. I am a very amateur but passionate birder and wildflower identifier. I am a wife, mom, stepmom and daughter. My family, including all my nieces and nephews, mean the world to me. I can't wait to share more of this magical province with you all!
