Sea Ice fills Conception Bay in Topsail, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.  Spring has arrived on "Iceberg Alley" and iceberg season is just around the corner on the Avalon Peninsula! Bergy bits and growlers, or "ice clampers" as my nan would call them, fill the shores of Topsail Beach. It is very mesmerizing to listen to the sounds of the sea and the ice moving and floating around with the ocean swell.

Don't forget to dress really warm when viewing sea ice or icebergs in Newfoundland and Labrador. Even if it says 3 degrees on land it will be much colder by the sea, especially if the wind is blowing off the water. Additionally, never climb on sea ice or icebergs as it is very dangerous and poses a high risk of drowning. View safely on land and do not underestimate the power of the North Atlantic.
