Bauline Bergy Bits Newfoundland Canada
Bergy bits float around the wharf in the tiny community of Bauline, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. There appears to be a large amount of sea ice floating down from the Arctic this year. Conception Bay has been filled with pack ice for days. In fact, multiple dolphins were trapped in sea ice near the community of Dildo today and requiring efforts by locals to save them. Our weather patterns are certainly changing!

When would be the typical time for ice to be in the bays around Newfoundland and Labrador, if it wasn't early like this year, later in April/May?
-
Kim Kenyon I’ve never seen it this early. Likely not a good indicator of climate change! April and May usually is the season.
