Christmas Lights in Southern Alberta Canada

Come along on a Christmas light tour down Highway 2 from Airdrie to Nanton in Alberta, Canada.

First stop is the Airdrie Festival of Lights, taking place at Nose Creek Park. This is a free walking tour, donations accepted. Airdrie is located just a few minutes north of Calgary.

Next we take a tour through Calgary for a holiday adventure. The city has some wonderful decorative hoises and a few Christmas lights events. Take a drive through the community of Tuscany in the NW and you'll find Candy Cane Lane! Tuscany Vista Crescent is where you'll find the annual cheery display.

Calgary is also where you'll find the annual Lions Festival of Lights. Located along 14 Ave in the NW as well. A fantastic light tour that you can walk around or, enjoy as you drive along 14th. It's very visible from the road so no need to get out of your vehicle to see it all.

Heading south along Hwy 2, just south of Calgary is the George Lane Memorial Park light tour in High River. Another fun light display that you can find every year around Christmas time. This is a nice driving loop through the park, or, walking paths throughout the park lead you through this magical wonderland. They even have a free skating rink here!

Finally on our tour of Christmas lights in southern Alberta, we arrive at the cute little town of Nanton. This is an unofficial driving tour. Take your time and drive through this cute Christmasy town. With the 2 grain elevators lit up, you can't miss Nanton along Hwy 2. This town does a wonderful job each and every year.

If you're traveling along this stretch to visit family and friends over the holidays, I recommend taking some time to enjoy all the festive lights around! There are many more to explore, these are just a few!
