When I was younger my mom use to say "April Showers bring May flowers". We have been a month behind with our rain, heck we were still getting snow in April, but all this recent rain is going to mean the wildflowers will soon be in bloom.
DYK - The Western Wood Lilly is on the decline. This beautiful flower dies once it is picked. It doesn't grow back the following year: nothing, gone, that's it.
Take pictures, take a lot, but leave them where you see them so that others can enjoy them and so that you can also enjoy them the following year.
FYI: it is illegal to pick any wildflowers in the Provincial and National Parks.
