I am a curious explorer that loves traveling and discovering new places. Life, after all is an adventure that is meant to be lived. I am a PADI Divemaster, a former downhill ski instructor and almost became a competitive sky diver, but that is a story for another day. Other activities that I enjoy are hiking, snowshoeing, camping, backpacking, backcountry canoeing, and water sports. I LOVE cycling, especially road, cyclocross, bikepacking and multi-day cycling trips.
Some of my adventure highlights are cycling Jasper to Banff on the Icefields Parkway, cycling 26km up Mount Ventoux one of the Tour de France's Classic Climbs, diving on the Great Barrier Reef, bungee jumping in NZ, several backcountry canoe trips in BC and Saskatchewan and dog sledding north of the Arctic Circle in Inuvik, NT. When I can't get away on a big adventure or am looking for something to do during during some adventure down time, I enjoy discovering local coffee shops, craft beer, wine, food and cocktails. |
