Willow Burl Cabins was an accidental find. I was passing through the area and found motels in Valemount full. I headed south on the Yellowhead Hwy and soon came to a sign pointing to Willow Burl Cabins. I was tired and really wanted a place to stay for the night.
What an amazing surprise! It was affordable, spotless, and I could not help but be impressed by the craftsmanship of the building. When I mentioned it to the owners, Al and Susie Forsyth, I learned that they had built the cabins. The care and attention to detail showed everywhere.
I wish I'd had time to stay for a few days. There is so much to do in the area. The property includes 48 acres of treed land in the Robson Valley. Valemount is very close by. It's roughly an hour to Jasper and it would be interesting to compare prices for those wanting to see that area.
Willow Burl Cabins will be on my list for a longer stay the next time I visit the Robson Valley and its spectacular mountains.
I spent a very comfortable night in Cabin #2. It was well kept, spotless, and my bed was perfect. This would be a great place for a family to stay or a group of friends exploring the area around Valemount.
