Pioneer Park in Agassiz British Columbia Canada

Pioneer Park is in the heart of Agassiz British Columbia right next to the museum. It has colourful playground equipment for the little ones. There are a number of benches scattered throughout the park and a picnic table near the playground. The walking trail is well maintained. What is notable about this park are the number and variety of mature trees. The height of the trees and the size of the canopies speak to how long these trees have been here. They provide lovely shade as one walks or jogs around the park.

If you are visiting Agassiz, just stop at a local coffee shop first and bring your drink across the street. Relax under the shade trees before exploring the pathways that take you around the park.

  • WOW! Yes, those trees have been around for a long time. I wonder how old this park is.

  • Kim Kenyon I found another source and it said one of the trees at this park is a beech at 36.7 feet and another is an elm at 41.7 feet.
