The Pondside Pod in Spaniards Bay Newfoundland was just a short one hour drive from the Capital City of St. John's on the Avalon Peninsula of the island. Located directly on Tilton Big Pond, the adorable cabin has an attached boat house (or toy box as I liked to call it haha) fully equipped with personal watercraft for your use and pleasure. Some of the available water toys included kayaks, stand up paddle boards, a sit on kayak and even an inflatable rubber dingy! Additional recreation and games I noticed inside the boat storage shed included axe throwing, washer toss and multiple fishing rods. Teach the kids how to trout or even learn yourself on Tilton Big Pond. 
After a long day of fun in the sun on the water, it was relaxing to park the boat and enjoy the cozy warmth and comfort of a NL campfire in the pond side fire pit. In fact, you can order your s'mores aother tasty campfire snacks, including home made chocolate chip cookies, upon booking your excursion to the pod. I had such a fun and enjoyable time at The Pondside Pod I took advantage of the option to stay overnight and "glamp"! It was a unique Newfoundland travel experience waking up with the doors open, sipping on hot coffee to sunrise over Tilton Big Pond and Spaniards Bay.
