Looking for a little adrenaline rush during our recent summer road trip to Golden BC we decided to check out the Golden Skybridge to see what all the fuss was about. We opted for the Golden Hour Adventure Pass. This is an evening pass that is 20% cheaper, and I love a good deal. Not realizing how big the park is and all that it had to offer we found that this pass didn't give us enough time to do everything. So, we had to dial in on our must have experiences.
In retrospect, the full day adventure pass is the best option. This pass gives you all the time in the world to try everything, grab a bite to eat and to just relax and enjoy the views and watching people have fun. To quote a well-loved Canadian yoga pants store, 'Do one thing a day that scares you'.
Inspired by @lisamuldoon and her big chair pictures...no visit to the Golden Skybridge is complete without a picture in the big chair. The big chairs are almost as iconic as Parks Canada's red chairs.
Golden Skybridge has two of Canada's highest suspension bridges that span across the vast canyon. At 150m (492ft) long and 130m (426ft) high above the canyon floor and Hospital Creek below, the Upper Bridge isn't for the faint of heart.
The Canyon Edge Challenge is a ropes course perched in the forest canopy. There are three different routes to choose from. Each has a different degree of difficulty making the Canyon Edge Challenge Course fun for all ages.

There are so many activities available at Golden Skybridge that the entire family can choose their own adventure. The bridges and trails are suitable for most abilities. For those that don't wish to cross the bridge there are plenty of activities to enjoy on the first side of the canyon including a gift shop, restaurant, picnic area, rock climbing, corn hole and axe throwing to name a few. Additionally, there is live music every Saturday night throughout the summer making Golden Skybridge fun for the whole family.

So many choices. Should you choose the lower suspension bridge of the mountain coaster. Do you take the red pill or the blue pill? In this case, the decision is easy. If you haven't tried the mountain coaster, go there first. The suspension bridges are one-way and this one leads back to the entrance. So, if you go that way first you will need to circle all the way around the park again to get back to the mountain coaster. Of course, you make a wiser choice than we did and get the all day adventure pass you can lap the park as many times as you want.
The second suspension bridge is 80m (262ft) high and 140m (459ft) long. After crossing the Upper Bridge, this one seems quite tame by comparison. Throughout the entire park visitors are treated to spectacular views of the Columbia Valley.
