This is a 14+km trail in and back to the Ghost Town of Lille. Furthermore, this is an ATV friendly trail and a great way to get in and back quickly. The Crowsnest Pass Quad Squad has kindly built and donated multiple bridges along this trail to preserve the trout habitat in Gold Creek.

This trail is open year round for hiking and opens to OHV riders April 1.

We found a nice little waterfall area on the way to the Ghost Town of Lille. There is a small branch off to the left that connects back to the main trail about halfway.

This coke oven was pre-built elsewhere, with each brick numbered, then sent to Lille to be reassembled. It was much larger but has been mostly dismantled or vandalized.

Exploring the Lille townsite takes some imagination and understanding of the layout of town. Standing where the old coke ovens were.

Remnants of the old hotel in Lille, Alberta, Canada. This town has been long abandoned. 110 years ago, by 1914, it had cleared out.

What's left of the massive hotel that once sat along an old railway to Lille, Alberta. There are not many pieces left to see over 100 years later.

It's impressive that any pieces are left standing here. This hotel has not seen any staying visitors in over 112 years

Exploring Lille in the spring is a fun adventure. May starts the snow melt, waterfall season and wildflower time. The contrasting colours on this overcast day made for beautiful scenery.

Over 100 years later, trees now grow on what's left of the Lille Coke Ovens. These ruins are quite large in length and give a good idea of the grand size it once was.

Some useful information about one of only 3 native Alberta trout. The Westslope Cutthroat is a beautiful fish that calls the pristine mountain rivers home.
