On March 24th (my birthday), we went on a road trip to The Last Spike. As a child of CPR, I have been here many times; I was slightly sad to see that the spot was in a bit of disrepair. Iping, this is just because this is off-season travel; when I was a kid, you could go inside the caboose location, which, looking in the windows, looks like it has not been kept up. Several years ago, my grandfather's car (now located at the Relolstoke rail museum) was on-site now where his car sits on an empty track. This beautiful piece of Canadian history needs to be respected, visited more, and kept in good repair!
