The Simcoe Christmas Panorama in Norfolk Country is a dazzling holiday light display that transforms the downtown parks of Simcoe, Ontario into a winter wonderland each holiday season. A cherished local tradition since 1946, the panorama features over 500,000 twinkling Christmas lights that create a magical atmosphere for visitors of all ages. This year, lights will be turned on every night between 6 pm and 10pm from November 30th, 2024 until January 1st, 2025. During our visit to this magical holiday event, highlights included the huge conifers sparkling with lights, the panoramas featuring a variety of festive styles and themes, the magical horse drawn trolley rides, and the enchanting paths that wound through Wellington Park, around Crystal Lake, and alongside Dingle Creek in Clifton Park. If you're starting to feel the chill night air, volunteers serve hot chocolate from a log cabin in Wellington Park near the intersection of Bonnie Dr and Norfolk St, or you can visit a personal favourite of mine - the Tumaini Hut for some hot apple cider and a legendary apple cider donut. Perfect for families, couples, and anyone in search of a cozy holiday experience, the Simcoe Christmas Panorama offers a memorable way to celebrate the season in one of Ontario's most welcoming communities. With its unique blend of charm and holiday spirit, it's a must-see destination that brings warmth and joy to the cold winter months. This is one of my favorite outdoor events of the holiday season.
